Avocado

The avocado is the fruit of a plant native to Central America that later spread to other tropical areas. It is a pear-shaped drupe, ranging in length from 7 to 20 centimeters with a large central seed. The skin, called epicarp, can be smooth or wrinkled and can take various shades from green to purple, while the pulp is pale yellow tending to green.
